Corporate & community partnerships

Support vulnerable seniors in your community

KSSS provides social prescribing support for vulnerable older adults across the rural and remote Kootenay region of British Columbia — connecting them with trained volunteer navigators who provide consistent, person-centred support across 24 communities and 26,000 km². Corporate and community partners help us reach more of the older adults on our waitlists — and can direct their support to a specific community of their choice.

The reach

A partner-supported footprint most funders can't access on their own.

We operate where most charities and grant-funded programs can't easily reach — across the rural and remote communities of the Kootenays, in clients' homes, on the phone, and on the road.

Demand still exceeds capacity across every community we serve. Your partnership expands the reach of a model that’s already working.

Why partner

Three things corporate and community partners care about.

Most partnership pitches sound the same. Here's what KSSS actually delivers, in plain terms.

Measurable, transparent impact

We report annually against Healthy Aging Index criteria, with volunteer surveys, client interviews, hours of direct service, and outcomes data published for every partner to see.

  • Annual impact report, sent directly to every partner
  • Quarterly updates on milestones and outcomes
  • Specific deliverables available for named gifts

Reach into a hard-to-serve population

Social prescribing targets older adults facing isolation, declining health, and limited rural services — a population most CSR and grant programs struggle to reach. We have the volunteer infrastructure and regional presence to deliver.

  • 280 unique clients served over the past year
  • Trained volunteer navigators in every community we serve
  • Culturally appropriate, person-centred model

Recognition that travels

Logo placement on our website, in our annual report, and at sponsored events. Optional: named programs, employee engagement days, and joint media at the level you choose.

  • Website, annual report, event signage
  • Optional employee volunteer day at KSSS
  • Optional naming rights for specific programs or routes
Sponsorship levels

Three levels, clear deliverables — with your community in mind.

Pick the level that matches your capacity. At every tier, your partnership can be tied directly to a specific Kootenay community, with a year-end community impact report you can share with your team, board, or membership.

See how community designation works

Custom partnerships welcome. Multi-year commitments, event sponsorships, and in-kind gifts are all part of how we work — if you don't see what you have in mind, ask.

Supporter

Supporter

$2,500 per year

A meaningful annual commitment that signals long-term support for the work and gets you visible across our core channels.

  • Designate a community — direct your support to a specific community or sub-region within our service area, with an annual community impact report
  • Logo placement on the KSSS website partner page
  • Acknowledgement in our annual impact report
  • Quarterly impact updates, direct from our team
  • Invitation to the annual donor & partner gathering
  • Charitable tax receipt issued for the full amount
Regional Leader

Regional Leader

$10,000+ per year

For partners who want their name tied directly to the work itself, with custom engagement and a year-long relationship.

  • Everything in Champion
  • Multi-community designation — name your partnership across multiple communities or sub-regions of your choice, with a tailored annual report covering each
  • Named recognition across all 24 communities
  • Custom employee engagement program (designed with you)
  • Naming rights for a specific program or navigator route
  • Joint press release and a featured case study in our annual report
  • Direct line to our Executive Director for partnership coordination
Designate your community

Direct your support to the place your team calls home.

We’ve heard it from local businesses, family foundations, and municipal partners: you want to know your dollars are reaching the older adults in your community — not a regional pot. Every KSSS partner can do exactly that.

1

Pick a community

Choose any community or sub-region within our 26,000 km² service area — from a specific town to a broader sub-region. We’ll confirm the geographic scope with you.

2

We direct the funding

Your contribution funds the volunteer navigator(s), client support, and operations that serve older adults in that specific community — tracked separately in our books and reported on directly.

3

You receive a community impact report

At year-end, we send a short report for your community only: clients served, hours of direct service, volunteer activity, and outcomes data — with the option to share it with your team, board, or membership.

4

Recognition in your community

Your name and logo appear on KSSS materials, volunteer training, and events for that area — so neighbours and employees see the partnership locally, not just on our national channels.

This is included at every sponsorship level — Supporter, Champion, and Regional Leader alike. If your team has a specific community in mind, mention it on the form below or in your first email and we’ll take it from there.

Other ways to partner

If an annual sponsorship isn't the right shape, here are three more ways to engage.

Workplace giving

We can register KSSS on Benevity, CanadaHelps, and most United Way campaigns. Your employees can give pre-tax through payroll deduction at no cost to them.

Event & program sponsorship

From our annual gathering to community-specific events — volunteer training days, navigator recognition events, regional meetings — sponsor-specific recognition included.

In-kind gifts

Vehicle use for client transportation, printing, professional services, office equipment. We'll work with you on appropriate recognition for any non-cash contribution.
